Engine Fails, United Airlines Flight Forced into Emergency Landing
Scary moments onboard a United Airlines flight, as the Boeing 757 is forced to make an unexpected, but safe, landing Sunday after losing power in one of its engines.
Laura Hatch with FOX News Radio affiliate KOA reports from Denver:
A passenger on the United Airlines plane says the 125 people on board applauded on landing safely at Grand Junction Regional Airport in western Colorado. The FAA says the plane was headed from Denver to Los Angeles when the right engine shut down. The plane was diverted to Grand Junction.
A passenger says the pilot announced the engine had lost oil volume. He describes the passengers as calm and very glad to be back on the ground.
