AEHQ: What Would They Do? National Security – Ron Paul

One candidate is separating himself from the rest of the GOP Presidential candidates when it comes to relations outside the U.S.

FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson takes a look at Paul’s view on national security and foreign policy, as we continue our FOX News Radio special election series, “What Would They Do?”:

From America’s Election Headquarters…

(Paul) “We’re under great threat because we occupy so many countries.”

Ron paul parts ways with most of his fellow Republican candidates on a whole host of foreign policy issues, including his opposition to having U.S. military forces in 135 countries around teh world.

(Paul) “There’s no authority in the Constitution to be the policeman of the world.”

His alternative: do more business and less conquest.

(Paul) “We’re willing to get along with people and trade with people as the Founders advised.”

Paul says he would secure the borders, avoid long and expensive land wars, guarantee adequate funding for the intelligence community and follow the Constitution by asking Congress for a Declaration of War, before waging war.
