FOX on Tech: New AIM
Your Buddy List is going bye-bye…sort of. One of the original tools for IM’ing is getting a major facelift, courtesy of AOL.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig has details in this “FOX on Tech”:
AOL Instant Messenger as you know it, is signing off.
In an effort to stop a mass exodus of users, AOL is launching a new version of AIM.
Messages will be synced across devices like computers and phones, and web-based pictures and movies will show in the chat window.
The Buddy List is changing too, sorting by how recently you’ve chatted with each friend.
