FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady has more in this FOX on Tech report:

Smartphones and tablets, taking a bite out of the PC market.  And now chip-making giant Advanced Micro Devices, says it will cut 14-hundred workers, about 12% of its workforce. They’re the world’s second biggest maker of microprocessors for PC’s.  And though they’re also part of popular game consoles including Wii and X-Box, they’ve been hit by recent manufacturing problems and shipping delays.  AMD figuring the cuts will save 200-million dollars next year.
