Dr. Drew Pinsky spoke to Brian Kilmeade about the recall election in California and the pandemic. Dr. Drew says Governor Newsom is in real trouble because everyone in California knows how horrible life is there and how disgusting things have gotten and how disgust is a very powerful emotion. Dr. Drew says another reason for the recall is the incompetence from Newsom and health officials on how they reacted to covid. One example Dr. Drew sited of incompetence by the Governor and public health officials was how after opening the beaches you were allowed to stand on the beach, but you couldn’t lie down a towel. If you laid down to the beach, you would be arrested. Dr. Drew says the extraordinary thing about this pandemic for him is that his profession froze in place when it comes to having discussions on how to treat and deal with the pandemic. Dr. Drew believes it is because they are so fearful of being attacked on social media or by their employer they have ceded their responsibility to bureaucrats.
