Housecall for Health: Teen Soda Violence
A popular sugary drink could be contributing to teen violence.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:
Does soda contribute to teen violence? A small study says yes.
Researchers associated with the Injury Control Research Center in Boston surveyed the soda consumption of 1,800 students, and whether they had been violent towards others or carried a weapon in the past year. Results showed an increase in these behaviors in teens who drank more than five cans of soda per week. But some experts question the study because of the small sample size and vague results.
