Housecall For Health: Heavy Metal Music’s Impact
The results of a new study should come as a warning of the possible effects certain music may have on some people.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon explains in today’s “Housecall for Health”:
Teens that listen to head-banging heavy metal music could be at risk for depression and even suicide, according to a five year study. Researchers from Melbourne University say most teens use music to lift their mood. But thirteen to eighteen year-olds who are feeling down listen to music in a negative way, especially heavy metal because it reflects their pain. Experts say parents should talk to their kids about how their music makes them feel.
