Harris Faulkner: It’s Boring To Be Around “Complete Like-Minded People”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, host of “The Faulkner Focus” & “Outnumbered” Harris Faulkner discussed why it’s important to not be surrounded by people who think the same all the time and why it’s better to be challenged by others as well.
“The reason I don’t want to be around complete like-minded people is because it’s boring. Where we are right now is we’ve lost our courage to be exciting for all the right reasons. We have to be courageous and bold. And that means we have to be willing to rub up against things that shine us like diamonds and don’t just become our best friends at all times.
“You get tough and you get shiny and valuable in life and ready for anything by being thrown in the fire and coming out the Phoenix, not just a bunch of wet ashes. I just can’t take it anymore that people can’t sit next to somebody and disagree and get up and go out and have a root beer together. That’s real weak stuff right there. It’s weak that you feel challenged to the point where you no longer can exist because somebody else has a different point of view than you do. I’m not that weak. I’m not that paranoid.”
