Housecall for Health: Parent-Child Health

A new study puts more significance on a parent’s role to the life of his/her child later in life.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon has today’s “Housecall for Health”:

A new study proves that what you may need to keep the doctor away is a little TLC from mom.

According to the National Survey of Mid-Life Development in the U.S., people who reported having less educated, less nurturing parents were almost twice as likely to develop metabolic syndrome, a precursor to diabetes and heart disease.  However, those who had more hands-on, caring parents had no effect on developing similar health problems.
