Asthma Inhalers: End of An Era?

Concerns over the Earth’s atmosphere spell out the end of an era for a popular over-the-counter medical device.

FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports:

Asthma patients who use an over-the-counter inhaler will have to make a switch by year’s end.

All epinephrine inhalers will be phased out, according to federal health officials, because it uses carbon gas to propel medication into the airways.  The FDA said patients will need a prescription from their doctor.  The FDA started to phase out these inhalers in 2008.  The prescription medication is considered environmentally-friendly.
