Mercedes Schlapp: Trump Supporters “Don’t Feel Comfortable Speaking Boldly” & Are Getting Bullied
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Senior Adviser to the Trump 2020 Campaign Mercedes Schlapp talks about how there is silent support for President Trump they polls are not reflecting, and eventually voters will see Joe Biden as being “too weak to lead.”
“When you travel across the country, you really get a sense of where people are at. I call it the Trump whisper. There are the people that see the big pink bus, you walk out and they quietly come up to you and say, I’m voting for Donald Trump. And they say ‘I can’t say it really loudly, but I’m looking for Donald Trump.’ I see it wherever I go. I wear my Trump support as a badge of honor, but I understand for some people they are gonna get bullied and there’s going to be a situation where they don’t feel comfortable speaking out boldly for for Donald Trump. So I do think it’s going to be a tough race. I’m not going to argue that we shouldn’t take anything for granted. We shouldn’t take any vote for granted. And so I think what we’re seeing in our internal polls is the more we define Joe Biden, the more people get to learn about Joe Biden, meaning get him out of the basement and have him talk, the more people start to realize that he is just too weak to lead this country.”
