Judge Andrew Napolitano: People Destroying Monuments “Don’t Care About Property Damage”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano discussed President Trump’s plan to issue an executive order to prevent the destruction of historical monuments.
“I’m a little sympathetic with him. I don’t think we can be in the business of trying to eradicate history. I mean, can we really pretend that Robert E. Lee never existed? No. We should be reminded that these things happened. So we are cautious to prevent them in the future.”
“You can put a monument on your own property, they’ll attack it there. They don’t care about private property and they don’t care about property damage. We need to recognize that good people have done bad things and bad people have done good things. And that’s human nature.”
