A day after special counsel Robert Mueller accused former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort of lying, President Trump is again blasting the Russia probe as a witch hunt.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The President sent out a series of tweets this morning, calling Robert Mueller a “prosecutor gone rogue”, and accusing him of only looking at one side of the investigation.
He also wrote that Mueller is doing “tremendous damage” to the criminal justice system and that the special counsel’s office is treating people horribly and viciously. Mueller yanked former campaign manager Paul Manafort’s plea deal, claiming he’s been lying to investigators.
Manafort denies that, but his lawyers have asked a federal judge to set a sentencing date.
