Trump Administration’s Travel Expenses are Getting a Closer Look

A key Congressional committee is taking a closer look at travel expenses of Trump administration officials.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

The top Republican and Democrat on the House Oversight Committee are asking two dozen federal agencies for information on the use of government-owned and private aircraft used for official and personal travel.

The letter from Committee chairman Trey Gowdy and ranking Democrat Elijah Cummings notes federal employees are required to use the most efficient means of transportation that’s practical.

The Committee is requesting aircraft manifest, passenger names, destinations and the purpose and cost of trips.

An inspector general is reviewing Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price’s use of private jets.
