President Trump Urging Reforms at the United Nations

One day ahead of his first address to the United Nations General Assembly, President Trump made brief remarks at a meeting on reforming the body.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:

President Donald Trump’s remarks this morning started with criticism of the U.N., saying the organization hasn’t reached its full potential and is wracked with mismanagement, urging reforms:

(President Trump) “We encourage the secretary general to fully use his authority to cut through the bureaucracy, reform outdated systems and make firm decisions to advance the UN’s core mission.”

The President also said no member state should shoulder a disproportionate share of the burden and the U.N. shouldn’t be beholden to ways of the past which aren’t working.
