Another Republican Congressman Announces Retirement
For the third time in a week a Republican congressman announces retirement.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:
Second-term Michigan Republican Dave Trott will not run for a third-term, saying in a statement, his best course is to spend more time with family and return to the private sector.
Trott represents a Republican-leaning district in suburban Detroit. It’s a district Democrats could try to target in next year’s midterm.
Last week Republicans Charlie Dent and Dave Reichert also announced they were not running for re-election.
