Architect-Turned-Actor on Hit Series “Narcos”
He took an acting class for fun in his native Portugal. Architect Pêpê Rapazote wound up being “discovered” by a playwright who then got him a role on a TV show. Other acting jobs would follow, and this married father of two had to put his “day job,” designing buildings, aside. Speaking five languages hasn’t hurt his second career, either.
FOX’s Jane Metzler talks with the former “Shameless” actor about his newest role on American television. Pêpê Rapazote plays Cali Cartel drug lord Chepe Santacruz in the new season of “Narcos,” now streaming on Netflix. The award-winning performer also weighs in on everything from Portuguese cuisine, to a favorite way to unwind: painting with coffee.
