Missouri State Senator Apologizes to President Trump for Assassination Post

Calls for a Democratic lawmaker to step down following a threatening Facebook post.

FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:

Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal apologizing for taking to Facebook to say she hoped President Trump would be assassinated:

(Chappelle-Nadal) “President Trump, I apologize to you and your family. I also apologize to all of the people in Missouri.”

The Democrat blamed her outburst on being angry at the President for his response to the white nationalist violence in Charlottesville. While she deleted the post, screen shots went viral. Chappelle-Nadal says she will not resign.

But top Missouri lawmakers including the state’s governor are calling for her step down. The Secret Service is investigating.
