President Tweets “Locked and Loaded,” But Navy Says Not So Fast
Despite President Trump tweeting this morning U.S. military is ‘locked and loaded’ to deal with North Korea, the reality might be very different.
FOX’s Lucas Tomlinson has more from the Pentagon:
U.S. officials tell FOX there are no U.S. Navy aircraft carriers off the coast of Korea right now, nor thousands of Marines aboard ships offshore.
This after President Trump tweeted a photo showing U.S. Air Force B-1 bombers in Guam, but there are only six B-1’s there right now ready to strike.
The aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan returned to Japan this week following a three-month deployment, but could return to sea if called upon.
Other bombers could be sent to the region, but that order has not yet been given.
At the Pentagon, Lucas Tomlinson, FOX News.
Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!
