It’s a Good Time to Be Flying

A new report released shows more of you are getting to stay on your flights.

In April, United Airlines was in the headlines after passenger Doctor David Dao was physically removed from his seat, after his flight was overbooked…

But a new report released by the Department of Transportation says that passengers getting bumped off flights with U.S. carriers has hit a 22-year low. Within the first six months of 2017, one in every 19,100 passengers was denied boarding.

That’s down from one in every 16,000 last year, and according the report the lowest rate since 1995.

The best carrier for getting to keep your seat? Delta Airlines had the lowest rate of involuntary bumping among the 12 American airlines tracked.

Spirit had the worst.
