Lee Brice Set to Release Self-Titled Album

FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin talks to Lee Brice about his fourth album and some of the stories behind the music on it.

That’s in today’s “FOX Celebrity Profile”:

Country singer Lee Brice is gearing up to release his self-titled fourth album this November and in the meantime spoke about personal songs, like the lead track ‘Boy,’ which makes him think of his dad:

(Brice) “Telling you the things he told you and you’re kind of thinking to yourself, man, maybe I should of listened. He really did know what he was talking about. And then, obviously, your mind slips to my kids, and like I wish they knew, you know, what I wish I had known back then. So it’s just this big connection. My dad, me, my kids, and I’ve just got a brand new little baby girl. So I recorded this song and thought well I better get this out before she comes around. I don’t want her getting jealous yet.”

The music video for ‘Boy’ is also close to his heart as it stars his family:

(Brice) “My actual two little boys, Takoda and Ryker and my daddy is in the video. I thought it needed to be what the song was. A generational type of thing.”
