Maria Menounos Undergoes Surgery for Brain Tumor

One of the co-hosts of E! News is leaving after revealing she’s been battling a terrible illness.

FOX’s Jacquelyn Karl has the story:

‘E! News’ co-anchor Maria Menounos told People Magazine she just had risky surgery to have a tumor removed from her brain.

What makes this even more startling, it was nearly a year ago Menounos’ mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

The co-anchor revealing she was diagnosed when she told her doctor she was experiencing dizziness headaches and slurred speech. Needing to make some changes in her life, Menounos has decided to step down as co-host of ‘E! News.’

‘E! Entertainment’ president Adam Stotsky supports her decision, saying, “We are grateful for Maria’s many contributions to E! over the past three years.”
