President Trump Travel Ban Guidelines Go Into Effect

The President’s travel ban goes into effect later today.

FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:

The new guidelines, which go into effect at 8 PM Eastern time, say that applicants from six majority-Muslim countries must prove a close relationship in the U.S., such as a parent, spouse or child in order to enter the country.

Foreign nationals with “bona fide” educational or business ties to the U.S. are exempted.

The new guidelines will remain in place until the Supreme Court issues a final ruling on the matter, which won’t be until at least October.

President Trump ordered the refugee and travel ban, saying it was needed to protect the U.S. from terrorists.
