NO TAX FOR YOU… ‘Soup Nazi’ CFO Robert Bertrand Arrested on Tax Evasion

A high-level executive of a company that inspired an infamous “Seinfeld” character is in hot water with the feds.

    FOX’s Steve Rappoport explains:

Soupman Inc. licences the name and recipes of Al Yeganeh, the real-life inspiration for the ‘Soup Nazi’

    Oc: No soup for you

But no soup is the least of Robert Bertrand’s problems. The chief financial officer of the New York based company arrested on tax charges.

Prosecutors allege Bertrand cheated the IRS out of half a million dollars by paying Soupman employees unreported cash on the side and gave some workers unreported stock awards from 2010 through 2014.

The indictment says Soupman’s cash and stock compensation during that period totaled nearly $3 million.
