Tequila!… Is Good for your Bones? One Study Says Yes

    Fan of tequila? Next time you’re looking for an excuse to have a margarita, you can say it’s good for your bone health!

    FOX’s Jim Mackay explains:

    Yes it’s true, apparently a shot of tequila is good for absorbing calcium in your bones. A study in Mexico conducted by Investigation and Development showed consumption of the plant, agave tequilana, which tequila is derived from, can aid in retaining magnesium and calcium within your bone structure. In fact, scientists are now looking at derivatives of the agave plant as alternative treatments to osteoporosis, which is a disease effecting bone strength and deterioration over time.
