Ann Coulter Cancels Speech at UC Berkeley

Ann Coulter says she’s not speaking at UC Berkeley anymore.

FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal reports a lawsuit filed by a conservative group against the University is still on:

Ann Coulter accused the groups that once backed her of now leaving her. She accused the Young America’s Foundation of essentially siding with the campus officials when they had helped college Republicans get Coulter in the first place.

An attorney for the Foundation denies that. She says they have no control over UC Berkeley, they can’t make the campus do anything nor will they trespass. But she says the lawsuit against the University over free speech issues continues. They argue Berkeley has a policy that limits when and where certain high profile speakers can hold events, and the policy seems to be directed at conservatives.

Berkeley issued a statement saying the threats Coulter herself has mentioned, are the exact reason we want her to come on a day when a protectable venue is available.
