President Trump Welcomes the Patriots to the White House
President Trump welcomes the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
34 Patriots players traveled to the White House for the celebration honoring the Patriots for their fifth Super Bowl victory.
The President praised the team and team owner Robert Kraft:
(President Trump) “Since Bob bought the Patriots in 1994, they’ve won more division titles, conference championships and Super Bowl wins than any other team. No team has been this good for this long.”
Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady skipped the ceremony, citing family reasons. Four Patriots players: Martellus Bennett, LeGarrette Blount, Devin McCourty and Chris Long also were no-shows, saying the presence of Donald Trump as President was the reason for their absence.
