Richard Dreyfuss Returns to the Screen in ‘Shots Fired’
You can now see Richard Dreyfuss on FOX’s show ‘Shots Fired’.
FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin explains in this ‘FOX Celebrity Profile’:
I’m Ashley Dvorkin with your FOX Celebrity Profile.
Actor Richard Dreyfuss joins the cast of FOX’s intense new show ‘Shots Fired’, which follows the fallout in one town after two racially charged police shootings. He says he realized how relevant what they were working on was by just watching the news as they made the show:
(Dreyfuss) “I mean as we were shooting the show, it popped up here, it popped up there and then it popped up in Charlotte.”
Dreyfuss has dozens of major roles to his credit, from ‘Jaws’, to ‘Close Encounters’, to ‘Mr. Holland’s Opus’ and he’s basically coming out of retirement for this show:
(Dreyfuss) “And I had kids and then I realized that they’re not going to have the same America that I had and I panicked, I became terrified. I have a grandson and the notion that he’s going to live in a country with anything less than safe streets and opportunity makes me ill.”
