President Trump Takes Shot at Controversial QB Colin Kaepernick

President Trump took a shot at one NFL quarterback who is still out on the free agent market during his rally in Kentucky on Monday night.

FOX’s Jared Max reports:

At a campaign style rally Monday in Louisville, Kentucky, President Trump discussed an athlete, now most known these days as a protestor:

(President Trump) “Your San Francisco quarterback, I’m sure nobody ever heard of him.”

Referring to “ex” San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who opted out of his contract this month to become a free agent. Only Kaepernick remains unsigned. A story from Bleacher Report four days ago quoted an unnamed general manager of an AFC team, who said around 10 percent of NFL owners haven’t signed Kaepernick because they fear backlash from fans and that President Trump would get involved on social media:

(President Trump) “There was an article today, it was reported, that NFL owners don’t want to pick him up because they don’t wanna get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump. Do you believe that?”

President Trump, who in October, blamed Kaepernick’s protests of the national anthem as a reason for sagging NFL TV ratings, yesterday shared his latest findings with the crowd in Louisville:

(President Trump) “I said if I remember that one, I’m going to report it to the people of Kentucky. Cause they like it when people actually stand for the American flag, right?”
