Airlines Making Stricter Carry-on Restrictions

The U.S.government is apparently set to announce new restrictions on electronic devices for certain flights.

    FOX’s Lisa Brady reports:

At least two foreign carriers, Royal Jordanian Airlines and Saudia Airlines, announcing in tweets that passengers heading to theU.S. can’t put laptops, iPads, cameras or other larger electronics into carry-on luggage. Only cellphones and medical devices are excluded. Everything else has to go in checked baggage.

A source telling FOX News the new rules will also focus heightened security on liquids and apply to anyone traveling from 13international airports to the U.S., reportedly from eight countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

It’s believed to be a response to an increased volume of threats from Al-Qaeda and other groups, but not any specific threat.
