Michelle Malkin On American Health Care Act: We’re Supposed To Push For the Best We Can Get and I Think It’s Right Not To Settle
Michelle Malkin, award winning journalist and host of the new Internet TV show “Michelle Malkin Investigates” joined Kilmeade and Friends today to discuss “A Day Without American Tech Workers”, a play on yesterday’s “A Day Without A Woman”. In her latest piece Michelle reports from the ground on some of the latest H-1B victims: American tech workers at the University of California San Francisco campus who were laid off last week. The story goes on to explain that American tech workers at the liberal university were forced to train new foreign workers, telling them everything they know and showing them how to operate databases holding highly sensitive and personal health and financial data. Workers told Michelle that H-1B is a serious threat to security and privacy. The H-1B visa holders were very young, inexperienced, and had trouble understanding the trainers. Michelle says:
The guest worker program known as H1-B which was created by Bush in 1990 with bipartisan support has been exploited and morphed into something it was never intended to be and it’s turned into essentially a way to replace the best and brightest tech workers in America with inexperienced and inferior offshore, outsourced replacements largely from India and China.
Michelle also addressed the problem with the process of repealing and replacing Obamacare, saying:
If the establishment republicans had been more up about saying, ‘look this is political reality. We have to deal with what’s possible and this is not the greatest thing since sliced bread, we admit it.’ If more of them had been upfront all along, and I’m not just talking about the last couple of months but I’m talking about the last 8 years really of overselling so many Republican policies then there wouldn’t be such an uproar and backlash from the conservative grassroots because then we’d know what we’re all sort of dealing in a fair playing field. But it’s the attack by establishment republicans on conservative who are really doing their job. We’re supposed to push for the best we can get and I think it’s right not to settle at this point because the current plan does not do anything to solve the insolvency problem and to get at the underlying differential treatment between employer sponsored healthcare and individual market healthcare.
