Hawaiian Punch!… State Set to Challenge President Trump’s Immigration Order
Hawaii will become the first state to challenge the Trump administration’s revised immigration order.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Hawaii Attorney General Doug Chin calls the revised order, “nothing more than Muslim Ban 2.0”:
(Chin) “A lot of people think that the new executive order might be an improvement, and it is from the first one. But unfortunately it still has some serious constitutional defects.”
Lawyers for the state are seeking a temporary restraining order on March 15, the day before the new temporary travel ban is set to go into effect. The revised order exempts green card holders and removes Iraq from the list of countries under travel restrictions.
