Wrestling great George “The Animal” Steele dies.

One of the WWE’s biggest names in wrestling has died. George “The Animal” Steele whose real name is William James Myers was known as one of the more wild stars in the ring. He passed at the age of 79…
(Vince McMahon) “Hogan will have great difficulty, extraordinary difficulty with George ‘The Animal’ Steele.”
Steele was known for his unpredictability in the ring as well as his green tongue and hairy upper body “The Animal” received a master’s degree from Central Michigan University and was a high school teacher and wrestling coach in Michigan.
He started wrestling part time. His first WWE appearance was in 1967, when he began his rivalry against champ Bruno Sammartino.
