Outrage in Iowa Over Dead Bald Eagle
Outrage in Iowa as a bald eagle is found dead and dismembered.
FOX’s Tom Rigatti reports:
The eagle was found at Yellow Banks county park near Des Moines by a hiker on Wednesday. Not only was it shot, but the Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the eagle was beheaded and had its talons removed.
D.N.R. agents say that hinders their investigation because it makes it more difficult to estimate when the bird died. Conservation officers are asking for help, saying they don’t have much to go on.
They’re asking anyone who heard gunshots or saw anything during the first two weeks of the year in that area to contact them.
