Dow Done Did It! Dow Jones Soars, Closes Above 20k for Record High
It was a record-breaking day on Wall Street.
FOX’s Victoria Craig has more:
The blue chip’s journey from 19,000 to 20,000 points in just 64 days is the second-fastest 1,000 point run in history. In 1999, the Dow traded from 10,000 to 11,000 points in just 35 days, according to data from S&P Dow Jones Indices.
Wells Fargo Investment Institute’s co-head of global equity strategy Sean Lynch noted the rally reflects optimism from businesses and consumers. While the economy had strengthened before the election, he said President Donald Trump’s early action on made-in-America initiatives and deregulation have helped lead financials and materials stocks higher.
