Bad Company’s Simon Kirke Gets a Break from Drums in Solo Album ‘All Because Of You’
Simon Kirke has spent the majority of his rock and roll career backing the band Bad Company led by front-man Paul Rodgers, he’s also an original member of the band Free, but Kirke is now stepping away from the drum kit for some songs in his latest solo album ‘All Because Of You’ that is set to come out Feb. 10.
FOX’s Tommy Byrne sits down with Kirke to discuss his upcoming album, his favorite drummers, influences, the craziest thing he’s done during his years on the road with Paul Rodgers and relationship with Beatles drummer Ringo Starr. Kirke and his backing band The Empty Pockets also play two songs off the new album at the end of the interview:
