Senate Confirms Nikki Haley as U.S. Ambassador to the UN

The Trump Administration now has a United Nations ambassador.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

With support from the Senate’s top Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee, Bob Corker:

(Corker) “The United Nations is at a crossroads and really needs someone who is reform minded from the United States.”

And top Committee Democrat Ben Cardin:

(Cardin) “She is the right person to represent us now at the United Nations.”

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has won confirmation at the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. by a 96-4 tally.

Haley is the fourth Trump Administration nominee confirmed by the full Senate, joining the Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security and the CIA director.
