Things Are Looking Up for the Bushes
There’s good news on the health of a former President and First Lady.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:
Former President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush have spent the last several days in the hospital, but as Houston Methodist Hospital’s Dr. Amy Mynderse puts it, things are looking up:
(Dr. Mynderse) “Today’s a great day, actually. Mrs. Bush has been discharged from the hospital, and President Bush will be moved from the ICU to a regular floor today, so both doing really really well.”
Doctors say the former President has been sitting up in bed watching TV, asking for oyster stew and saying he wants to go home.
He’s been getting treatment for pneumonia for the past 10 days. Mrs. Bush had been suffering from bronchitis.
