President-Elect Trump Pressures GM with Tweet
GM has responded to another President-elect Trump tweet.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
In an effort to apply pressure on General Motors to manufacture more of its automobiles in the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump used Twitter to say that GM is sending a Mexican made model of its Chevy Cruze to U.S. car dealers- tax free across the border. “Make in U.S.A. or pay big border tax” he tweeted.
General Motors, in response, said in a statement that although the company manufacturers the Chevy Cruze Sedan in Lordstown, Ohio, it builds the Chevy Cruze Hatchback for global markets in Mexico, with a small number sold in the U.S.
