President-elect Trump: I Could’ve Done Even Better on Election Day
President-elect Donald Trump says he still would have won the election…if the Presidency were decided by a popular vote.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
President-elect Trump started his morning on Twitter, saying campaigning to win the Electoral College is much more difficult and sophisticated than winning the popular vote, concluding he would have done even better if the winner was based on the popular vote because he would have campaigned differently.
Transition spokesman Jason Miller says the tweets speak for themselves:
(Miller) “This is something that the President-elect has discussed both on the ‘Thank You Rally Tour’ that he’s had and other occasions, so there’s nothing new here.”
Hillary Clinton did get more than 2.5 million more votes than the President-elect and now some Democrats are pushing legislation that would ultimately do away with the Electoral College or tie it to the popular vote outcome.

Campaigning to win the Electoral College is much more difficult & sophisticated than the popular vote. Hillary focused on the wrong states!

I would have done even better in the election, if that is possible, if the winner was based on popular vote – but would campaign differently

I have not heard any of the pundits or commentators discussing the fact that I spent FAR LESS MONEY on the win than Hillary on the loss!
