Former WWE Wrestler Brings Florida Robber to the Ground

A former pro wrestler is making headlines for ending an attempted convenience story robbery in Florida.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

Former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard was at a drink cooler in a Coral Springs, Florida convenience store when a man came up to him.

He says the man looked drunk:

(Gaspard) “This guy comes from the back of the store and was like ‘Yo man, buy me a beer’, and I didn’t know the guy. And I was like yo man there’s a better way to approach somebody.”

That’s when he says the man pulled out the weapon and Gaspard pushed him against a cooler and it, which turned out to be a bb gun.

The man tried to run and Gaspard chased him, slammed him to the ground, and put him in a chokehold while the police were called.

Gaspard wrestled in the WWE between 2005 and 2010 and has also had TV and movie acting roles.
