Two Lucky Turkeys: President Obama Pardons Tater & Tot

In his final Thanksgiving as President, the President fulfills a White House tradition.

FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:

This year President Obama pardoned two 40,000 turkeys from Iowa, Tator and Tot, sparing them the family dinner table.

(President Obama) “Now Tater is here in a backup role, just in case Tot can’t fulfill his duties. So he’s sort of like the Vice Turkey. We’re working on getting him a pair of aviator glasses.”

Pardoning the national Thanksgiving turkey is a White House tradition that dates back to President Kennedy.
