San Antonio Police Officer Accused Killer in Custody, Says He’s “Sorry”
Police in Texas say the person responsible for the shooting death of a San Antonio police officer is now in custody.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has details on that, plus an officer-involved shooting in Missouri:
Otis Tyrone McKane says he was angry about a child-custody battle and that’s why he “lashed out”.
He’s charged with capital murder in the ambush shooting death of San Antonio detective Benjamin Marconi, who was killed during a traffic stop in his police cruiser on Sunday.
McKane, telling reporters he wanted to apologize to Marconi’s family:
(McKane) “I’m sorry.”
This as a vigil was held last nigth in St. Louis, Missouri to honor an officer shot twice in the face, also over the weekend. That officer is out of the hospital.
The suspect, a 19-year-old wanted for several crimes was killed in a shootout with police.
