Four Officers Shot Around Country in Less Than 24 Hours

Four law enforcement officers were shot in less than 24 hours over the weekend.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has details:

San Antonio detective Benjamin Marconi was writing a ticket in his squad car when he was shot to death late Sunday morning. The search for the shooter is still underway.

Last night in St. Louis, Missouri, a sergeant was shot twice as he sat in traffic in his marked police cruiser. The person responsible was killed in a shootout with police. St. Louis police chief Sam Dotson says that man was wanted for other crimes too:

(Dotson) “We think that this individual and this individual’s friends are responsible for several of the crimes that have occurred in this neighborhood.”

The St. Louis officer is in critical condition.

In the other two shootings last night, both officers survived. They were shot at traffic stops, one in Gladstone, Missouri and the other in Sanibel, Florida.
