Chicago Police & Feds Crackdown on Violence
A crackdown on violence in a deadly Chicago.
FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Almost 4,000 people have been shot here in the city of Chicago this year alone with close to 700 killed, mostly in Chicago’s south and west sides, where police teamed up over the weekend with the Cook County sheriff’s department, state police and the FBI to crackdown on violence.
The move applauded by people who live there:
(Man) “I seen about 30, 40-police cars. They pulling everybody over. I felt little more safe.”
(Woman) “It’s needed it’s overdue, so like I say, it’s a win win.”
Officials say there were multiple arrests, including one of the city’s most wanted fugitives and the arrest of a car-jacking suspect who police superintendent Eddie Johnson also assisted in taking into custody.
