Put that Billy Goat to Bed! Cubs Prevail in Dramatic Game 7 of World Series

The Chicago Cubs can finally put their 108-year curse to bed after a dramatic Game 7 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

FOX’s Jared Max reports from Cleveland:

Chicago Cubs fans hugged and cried and celebrated as their team won the World Series for the first time since 1908. It did not look like it may happen as the Cubs blew a three-run lead in the eighth inning. The Indians tied the score on a two-run home run from Rajai Davis, but after a 17-minute rain delay that paused Game 7, extra innings began, where the Cubs scored two runs in the 10th inning.

First, Ben Zobrist hit an RBI double and then Miguel Montero an RBI single. It was 8-6 into the bottom of the 10th, the Indians got a run. Rajai Davis, who had the game tying home run in the eighth, had a RBI single to make it 8-7, but Michael Martínez grounded out against Mike Montgomery.

The Cubs win the World Series in Game 7 by an 8-7 count.
