Kyle Busch Doesn’t Mind Racing in Kansas
The NASCAR Sprint Cup continues into week five as drivers head to Kansas Speedway for the Hollywood Casino 400 this Sunday. Ryan Newman gets a new contract and drivers get warnings after Charlotte.
FOX’s Marghiee Teshineh keeps you up to speed with “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
Kyle Busch heads to Kansas for this weekend’s Chase race with a new attitude about the track:
(Busch) “I look forward to Kansas, normally in years past I probably wouldn’t say those words, but you know it actually not been a bad place for us recently.”
Busch saying before the Kansas spring race he looked to Joe Gibbs teammate Matt Kenseth for help because:
(Busch) “Kenseth has always been super fast at Kansas and so I went and we’ve looked at a lot of his stuff, a lot of how his car was set up and whatnot and being able to learn some of those things from those guys that I felt like helped us and got us better in the ballpark for Kansas in the springtime, and we won there.”
Ryan Newman will remain with Richard Childress Racing, signing a multi-year contract extension.
And NASCAR handing down written warnings to 18 teams for various infractions, following last week’s race at Charlotte, including chase contenders Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick. Kurt Busch, will lose his pit stall selection for Sunday’s race because it was the team’s fourth pre-race written warning.
