Deja Blue: Another Ice Cream Recall

A case of tainted ice cream in the South.

    Kathleen Maloney reports:

Texas-based Blue Bell creameries is recalling certain flavors of ice cream after finding an ingredient from a third-party supplier could be contaminated with Listeria. It involves half gallons and pints of Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and half gallons of Blue Bell Cookie Two Step.

The ice cream is distributed in 10 Southern states. No illnesses have been reported, but customers can return the affected cartons to stores for a full refund.

Last year Blue Bell stopped sales and issued a voluntary recall of all of its products after bacteria contamination that was linked to 10 Listeria cases and three deaths.
