FSU’s Travis Rudolph Shares Lunch with Autistic Boy
A football star’s kind gesture inspiring millions.
FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:
Florida State football player Travis Rudolph is no stranger to getting praise on the field, but he’s gaining praise on social media for his kindness.
The 20-year-old and some of his teammates were visiting a middle school in Tallahassee and ended up eating lunch with students in the cafeteria. Rudolph saw a young boy sitting alone eating his lunch, he joined him.
The student is an autistic boy named Bo. Someone took a photo of the two eating lunch together and text it to the boy’s mother who shared it on Facebook.
She writes most days her son tells her he eats alone, saying, “I’m not sure what exactly made this incredibly kind man share a lunch table with my son, but I’m happy to say that it will not soon be forgotten. Telling Rudolph he is a hero in her eyes and he has made the family fans for life.”
