Joey Logano’s Focused as Sprint Cup Heads to Bristol
It’s night racing this Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway for the The Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, Ricky Stenhouse Junior honors a friend, and the Wood Brothers show their love for Virginia Tech football.
FOX’s Marghiee Teshineh has “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
The NASCAR Sprint Cup series returns to the short track at Bristol Motor Speedway where Joey Logano is looking for his third consecutive win at Bristol’s summer race.
Logano says his cars do well there because:
(Logano) “I think we have a good idea, probably there, better than any other race track we go to on what need to do to race well, and what we need at the end of the race to race well. So I think we’ve learned that and done a good job at really taking our notes and understanding what those items are and making sure we have them in our race car.”
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. pays tribute to his friend, Sprint Car driver Bryan Clauson at Bristol by running the paint scheme that Clauson raced during the 2008 XFINITY Series season. Clauson was killed earlier this month after a crash at a race in Kansas.
And Wood Brothers Racing announces Ryan Blaney’s No. 21 car will display a Virginia Tech paint scheme for races at Bristol and Martinsville to promote September’s match up between Virginia Tech and Tennessee to be held at Bristol.
